OBHS students attend American Legion Girls and Boys State
On May 31st -June 6th American Legion Auxiliary Sunflower Girls State was held in Lawrence, KS and American Legion Kansas Boys State was held in Manhattan, KS. Both Girls State and Boys State events are dedicated to educating young men and women of Kansas on the inner-workings of government and allow them to learn leadership skills through role play civic exercises. 2026 State Track Results
State Track was great this year! Caitlin Ficken cleared the 5'0" high jump to take 8th Place! Gavin Alloway jumped 21' 9.5" in the long jump and took 2nd Place! Gavin also jumped 43'2" in the Triple Jump, earning him 7th Place! Rowyn threw 33'9.5" in shot put. This wasn't quite enough to reach finals but was still a great showing for the freshman! We're proud of our athletes and hope to see more make it next year!

Otis-Bison Athletes headed to 2026 State Track

Silent Auction at May 12 Open House
Mrs. Brenda Radke and her woods/welding students have created some amazing items that will be up for silent action during our High School Open House and Awards Night Tuesday, May 12th.
