The Lady Cougars started the day off strong by winning against the Elyria-Christian Eagles. Set 1: 25-21. Set 2: 25-20.
Next up was the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs for the 1A Sub-State Championship title.
Set 1 belonged to the Cougars 25-17. The Mustangs came back fierce and won 19-25 in Set 2 and tied the match. On to Set 3!
Set 3 was an intense back and forth, both teams giving it their all and matching point for point. Each team took turns in the lead. After some great saves by the Cougars, they managed to pull ahead of the Mustangs and won 25-19!
The Lady Cougars won 1A Sub-State! We're going to State!
