Lady Cougars participated in 1A State Volleyball on Friday the 26th at Emporia. Their first game of the morning was against Centralia where they were defeated 14-25. and 12-25. Their second match was closer against Olpe, falling 23-25 and 13-25. Unfortunately losing two matches meant they were eliminated from proceeding further, but they still had one more match against Grainfield-Wheatland/Grinnell. They defeated Grainfield 25-19 and 25-17. We're going to State Volleyball in Emporia!! Lady Cougars went to Sub-State in Ransom on October 20th. They first faced off against Atwood-Rawlins County and fell in the first set 22-25. They came back in the 2nd set and won 25-18. In the third set they defeated them 25-17 and proceeded on to the Final. Lady Cougars Volleyball played in the 1A Regionals on Oct 16 in Wilson. They started the afternoon off facing against La Crosse and took them in two sets. They then played Sylvan-Lucas and also defeated them. The final match was against Victoria. The Ladies fell in the 1st 23-25. They were defeated in the 2nd set 18-25.
