In celebration of Arbor Day the Rush County Conservation District (Stephanie Royer) invited the Rush County 4th Graders to participate in a tree planting project. This year our 4th Graders planted trees around the Elementary and High School Buildings. They learned how to correctly plant and take care of trees being planted.

In the front of the Elementary is a special memorial tree for Martha Batman. Martha, as many of you know, was a custodian for many years at Otis-Bison and also in later years was one of our 'Reading Grandmas' so she holds a very special place in many of our hearts.

The tree in the front of the Elementary for Martha is a Spring Snow Crabapple.

In the back by the playground is a Hackberry.

Planted in front of the High School Gym is a Linden tree.

Here are a few photos from that day.
