Eric Frieb won 1st Place at KSHSAA State Forensics in the Extemp speaking category!

Extemporaneous speaking is a persuasive or informative speech lasting no more than 7 minutes. Competitors are given 30 minutes to prepare their speech from a drawn topic. It is a tough competition lasting through 3 qualifier speeches, a semi-finals round and then the Finals -- all different topics.

Maitland Wiltse, Taylor Regan, and Cayla Steinert also performed at State, but did not place. Kalyin Knaple and Haley Lightfoot performed IDA at the KSHSAA State Festival and received a II rating. A great accomplishment for all the students that participated.
